Bram returns to the boulder where his journey began—this time with Pat, his soulmate, and Einstein the mouse—reflecting  on how far the Fold has come. He has mastered Fold messaging, unlocked wormhole‑like travel, and prepared to visit alien worlds firsthand.

But success brings danger. Attacks on the Fold community intensify, forcing Bram to consider a sanctuary world where his people can survive the social and economic upheaval the Fold will unleash.

Exploration leads him into the Negative Fold, a realm without time or spatial dimension—a place shaped only by thought. Lost among countless universes, Bram faces the terror of never returning.

Then a blinking Morse‑code message—follow the light—cuts through the void. Pat has found him. Guided home, Bram returns to those he loves, reminded that even in infinite universes, connection is the anchor that saves him.

Ripples in Time

The time has come to leave Earth. Bram leads the Fold community to Mataia, erasing all traces of the Fold project—or so he hopes. A final attack during their departure proves that erasing history is far harder than altering it.

On Mataia, the Fold civilization flourishes. New worlds are discovered—some mirroring Earth’s possible futures, others offering hope for alternate outcomes. Contact with future versions of Mataia and Waterworld reveals that while the future can no longer change the past, it can still influence the present through those willing to kill.

An assassination attempt during a triple wedding is thwarted, and life on Mataia stabilizes. New alliances form, hostile alien societies are confronted, and the Fold community grows into a thriving society of explorers charting the vastness of the universe.

The Fold

Bram Nielson, a brilliant but reluctant government “guest,” has cracked the impossible: the ability to Fold space and time and move objects—and eventually people—through it. His discovery makes him a target for global powers, shadow groups, and anyone hungry for control of the most disruptive technology in human history.

As Bram reshapes the Fold project into a thriving scientific community, the threats escalate. His team is ambushed, his freedom is compromised, and the very people he hopes to protect are placed in mortal danger.

But everything changes when a Fold scout returns fused with asteroid debris, proving that the Fold is far more complex—and far more dangerous—than anyone imagined. To solve the mystery, Bram recruits Zuri, a wheelchair‑bound autistic prodigy whose brilliance unlocks the deeper mechanics of Fold travel.

Their first human Fold—hand in hand—marks the beginning of a new era. Wonders await, but so do enemies, and the universe is far from quiet.

Negative Fold

A notarized message from the past shatters everything the Fold team believes about reality. The Negative Fold doesn’t just allow observation of history  it allows entry. And alteration.

Bram grapples with the terrifying implications: If the past can be changed, has it already been changed? Did someone from the future guide him toward discovering the Fold? Where does the loop begin?

Determined to protect humanity from time-line manipulation, Bram designs safeguards that restrict access to the Negative Fold. But hidden evidence reveals a chilling truth: someone from the future is already reaching back.

A deadly confrontation ensues. Bram nearly loses his life before an unexpected cross‑timeline event intervenes. In the aftermath, he seals the future’s entry point and constructs the Mataia Maze, a temporal labyrinth from which nothing can escape.
