What captures your imagination and pulls you into a story?

Writing

When its time for me to escape, sit back and relax, I know that I enjoy warmth, familiar personalities and a friendly social environment.

I strive to write stories that reinforces the human connection, takes the reader through exciting, often harrowing events, with the knowledge that the character they have embraced, survives. I want my readers to know that the end is the beginning of the next adventure.

Many readers prefer high suspense, tension and mystery that pulls them in exciting or terrifying directions. They live for the pulse pounding, cold terrifying settings and an ending that leaves them wondering how much worse it might have been.

There are also the readers that claim not to read fiction. I admire their dedication to knowing history and reading other nonfiction narratives. To me there is some irony to their dedication in that history often is based on the perspective of the author and overtime and the modification of the next writer it transitions into its own fiction genre.

I enjoy all genre, but I know that I am a cozy writer that has a desire to write stories that pleases the reader. I am not into blood and gore nor into the realm of fantasy. Both my fiction and science fiction keeps its feet on the ground and develops strong character relationships.

I have chronicled the actions of a black widow, of a moonshiner, and the battle against the drug cartels. I have documented the outcome of the Aztec prophecy of the world’s end.

The Fold and The Door are very realistic and straightforward, believable journeys into the sci-fi world.  The events in those stories might happen in real life by tomorrow.

I would love the know what captures you and keeps your reading late into the night. Let me know and you may be featured in the comments section.
